Being a filmmaker I get to travel quite alot, so whenever I come back and get to stay in my family hometown (Bielawa) for some time, it is always very special. I feel really honored to have used my passion and profession to create this unique video series - originally for my local community, but as it turned out, what reached distanced parts of the world as well. What a great way - through interviews and professionally digitized chronicles of the school- to revive and record memories as well as pay tribute to thousands of graduates and their teachers.
Receiving an Official School Friend Award at the final gala event, which was closing on a 5-month video campaign, was a great surprise to me. Thank you. Also, seeing graduates, teachers and guests all together react so emotionally to the series' special episode, which was being screened that evening, was indeed a priceless and extremely building experience.
